About Chris Manning & Mark Waldman
After serving as a U.S. Army officer in Viet Nam, Chris Manning worked as a corporate banker for Bank of America before founding Manning and Company, a venture capital firm. He also worked with the investment bank Houlihan Lokey’s founding partners to redevelop the Solitude Ski Resort just outside of Salt Lake City.
Between 1992-2019, Chris excelled as a Professor of Finance, Real Estate, Entrepreneurship and NeuroLeadership at Loyola Marymount University. He has authored more than 30 articles published in both academic and professional journals, including the Harvard Business Review. He and Mark Waldman created and taught LMU’s first NeuroLeadership course to its Executive MBA students inspiring their co-authorship of NeuroWisdom: The New Brain Science of Money, Happiness and Success.
Mark Waldman is an acclaimed neuroscience researcher and the creator of NeuroWisdom 101, a unique training program in “Relaxed Mindful Awareness”. He has authored 14 books, including the national bestseller How God Changes Your Brain, selected by Oprah as a “Must Read” book. He has served on the faculty of Holmes Institute and he created the world’s first NeuroLeadership program at Loyola Marymount University. He, along with Andrew Newberg, are considered world leading experts on spirituality and the brain, and their research has been published in academic journals and featured in Time, Newsweek, Washington Post, New York Times, Forbes, PBS, and National Public Radio.
His new 12-week Trauma-Centered NeuroCoaching course and his training programs have certified students in 16 countries and is based on the emerging field of Network Neuroscience, a new paradigm showing how different parts of the brain communicate with each other to create optimal psychological health.
